In accordance with the authority granted to the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) under the Ontario Professional Planners Institute Act, 1994, the Discipline Committee of OPPI will hold an electronic Discipline hearing on December 12, 2023, from 1:00- 4:30 pm. The hearing will be conducted via Zoom, and the public may access the livestream through a third-party website. The parties will be provided a Zoom link to join the hearing directly by the Registrar.

The purpose of the hearing is to address allegations of professional misconduct by a member of the Institute, reported to OPPI through its Complaints process, and subsequently referred to the Discipline Committee of OPPI.

The hearing will be conducted as an electronic hearing in accordance with Rule 8.01 of the Rules of Procedure for the Discipline Committee.  A party may object to the Discipline Committee holding this event electronically by filing an objection with the Registrar in accordance with clause 6(5)(c) of the Statutory Powers Procedures Act no later than 15 days before the date of the hearing.

If a party neither files an objection with the Registrar referred to above nor participates in the electronic hearing in accordance with this Notice, the Discipline Committee may proceed without that party’s participation and that party will not be entitled to any further notice in the proceeding.
