Event Details

Remote work, whether in whole or in part, is still the norm for many organizations.

The law is finally starting to catch up with the surge in remote working arrangements that were established during the pandemic and we’re able to see how the issues that arise with these arrangements are playing out in our courts and tribunals.

After a brief overview of the kinds of issues that can arise with remote work, we’ll go over some of the most recent cases and discuss the trends that we’re seeing in litigation arising in the remote work context. We’ll look at legislation that has been enacted in response to remote working arrangements and go over some tips and tricks to reduce the risks associated with having employees work outside the office – whether across the street or across the world. Finally, we will cover options and strategies for engaging remote workers inside and outside of Canada.
