The Social Reform of Globalization: Two Roads Diverge
The Fasken Annual Seminar Series

Event Details
While European governments (both national and regional) forge ahead with legislative and regulatory measures aimed at repairing the social deficit embedded in the global economy, primarily under the Business and Human Rights (BHR) banner, the United States has proceeded down a different path in keeping with its charged political environment. And, all the while, other governments around the world observe and react. Canada, for its part, is a prime case in point.
This session will feature outstanding speakers from both the business and legal communities.
This session, dealing with the repair of the Social (“S”) field within national economies and the global economic system, will provide the audience with a thorough review of key global developments, the common elements within the different government approaches and, most importantly, an understanding of how global companies can navigate the business risks inherent in the emerging policy pathways to social reform.
Please join us for what we believe will be a timely and informative discussion surrounding the “people” aspect of the global economic system.
